Your Library Card
Who can get a card
Any current resident of Texas, who is sixteen years of age or older. Children may check out books on their parent's or guardian's card.
How to Get Your Card
Come to the library at 222 Allyn Avenue in Mount Calm and fill out a simple registration form.
We do not charge a fee for out-of-city residents.
Borrowing Limits
There is no limit on materials, as long as the patron returns them in a timely fashion.
Check-out period is for three weeks.
Placing Holds
A book may be reserved in person or on the telephone. Reserve requests will be honored in the order in which they are received.
Items in high demand, such as book club selections, are subject to a two-week borrowing period. Reserves will be accepted for such items, but the patron should understand that he or she should anticipate the demand and place an order early.
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
Renewals for an additional three weeks may be made in person or on the telephone.
Library Fines
The Mount Calm Library does not charge overdue fines. We do, however, want our materials back! The book drop on the porch is always open for patrons who cannot get to the library during open hours.
Consistent failure to return materials on time will result in a loss of borrowing privileges.
